New Year's Eve Bash Volunteer

Ring in the New Year while making a difference! Sunrise Developmental Support Services (DSS) is seeking energetic and caring volunteers to help make our New Year’s Eve Overnight Bash a night to remember.

Volunteers will assist with social activities, games, and celebrations, and provide general support to youth and adults with developmental disabilities during a fun, inclusive overnight getaway at a cozy cabin.

Note: Volunteer hours on the 31st will be time and a half, volunteer hours on January 1st will be double time and a half.

You can choose your level of involvement:

Event Prep: Daytime hours Dec. 31st (timing TBD)

Glamour Hour: 5-6 PM - help members get dolled up for the event!

Evening Celebration Shift: 6 PM – 12:30 AM

Overnight Shift: 6:00 PM – 10:00 AM (sleeping area available, bring bed sheets/sleeping bag)

Morning Wrap-Up Shift: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Unpacking: 12:30-2:30 PM - assist staff in packing up our items and accompany us (let us know if you'll require transportation) back to our main building (20-minute drive) to help unpack.

Celebrate the countdown surrounded by laughter, music, snacks, and community spirit — all while giving back in a meaningful way!
