Mental Health Promotion and Resilience Facilitator

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Hamilton seeks a full-time (permanent), Mental Health Promotion and Resilience Facilitator to implement a LHIN 4 region-wide (Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant) strategy for mental health promotion, resilience, and capacity building through an innovative strategy of mental health training and education, suicide prevention, and collaborative planning.

The facilitator will deliver and coordinate SafeTALK and ASIST trainings. The candidate must be a registered trainer to deliver SafeTALK and ASIST workshops. The facilitator is responsible for the delivery and coordination of mental health training/education through evidence-based training. Target populations include; youth, emerging adults, families and caregivers, community agencies, and the general public.

Qualifications:

All candidates must possess a university degree in a related health/social sciences/public education field with experience in mental health promotion. Candidates must be registered or eligible for registration in a professional college or association, if applicable. This position requires a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. Graphic design experience would be an asset. The ability to provide French-Language service is an asset.
