Member Feeding Assistant Volunteer
Steer Friends is seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers for the role of Member Feeding Assistant. As a Member Feeding Assistant Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in promoting the health and wellbeing of our members. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with feeding members and ensuring that they receive the necessary food and beverages.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting members with feeding
- Ensuring members receive proper food and beverages
- Reporting any issues or concerns to the supervisor
- Maintaining a clean and organized feeding area
- Engaging in friendly conversation with members
- Providing support and assistance to members as needed
- Adhering to all Steer Friends policies and procedures
- Complete simple documentation
The Member Feeding Assistant will receive an in-person training with an assigned member. Staff will explain and demonstrate each step of the lunch process.
Requirements:
- - Must be 18 years of age or older
- Active interest in helping individuals with disabilities in a compassionate, understanding, and patient manner.
- Completion of feeding training.
- Must be able to attend additional training.
- Satisfactory Volunteer Application process includes Vulnerable Sector Screening
Monday to Friday at 11:45 AM. Looking for a minimum commitment of 1 shift per week for 2 months
