The Alzheimer Society of York Region offers support, education, navigation and DAY programs to people impacted by dementia.

We are seeking a creative and detailed-oriented Digital Campaign Assistant to support our fundraising campaigns and donor communications. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to contribute their marketing, communications and graphics expertise to the fund development and communications team of Alzheimer Society of York Region or who want to build a strong social-impact portfolio and network within the fundraising environment. Your efforts will help raise awareness of Alzheimer disease and other dementias and funds to support programs that benefit local families who have been impacted by the disease.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use Canva to create eye-catching social media graphics, website banners, and digital headers for our annual campaigns.
  • Design high-quality campaign promotion slides, mailing inserts, and thank-you cards to support annual giving and digital outreach.
  • Assist in the layout and visual flow of email newsletters to maximize our supporter’s engagement.
  • Ensure all digital campaign activities and newsletter designs maintain a polished, consistent brand identity across all platforms.
  • Design and build simple post-campaign surveys to gather our donors and supporters feedback, helping us better understand our community and improve future campaigns.
  • Assist in managing the Alzheimer Society of York Region photo library.
  • Design poster and flyer templates for programs and campaigns in Canva.
  • Help develop and maintain a program guide and quarterly program calendar in Canva.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High proficiency in Canva is essential, including the use of templates, brand kits, and multipage layouts.
  • Experience or interest in digital design or marketing with a strong eye for clean and engaging visual layouts is preferred.
  • Experience in designing in adobe illustrator, Canva or similar applications.
  • Familiarity (or a strong willingness to learn) with engagement tools like Google Forms or SurveyMonkey to build donor surveys and quizzes.
  • Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Listening, oral, and written).
  • Able and willing to easily receive and follow instructions, policies, and procedures.
