  • Lead and support staff - provide direction, coaching and accountability while building a strong, collaborative team.
  • Guide volunteer services - ensure WESN’s volunteer systems, standards and practices are consistent, effective and well supported.
  • Deliver major events - lead planning and execution, working closely with staff and partners to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Manage budgets and funding - oversee budgets, grants, reporting and funding requirements.
  • Build strong partnerships - maintain and grow relationships with community organizations, facilitators, contractors and supporters.
  • Maintain quality and safety - ensure programs, events and volunteer involvement are accessible, inclusive, well organized and appropriately managed.
  • Use data and feedback - track participation, outcomes and emerging needs to strengthen programs and services.
  • Stay hands-on - step in where needed to support delivery and keep things moving.

WHO YOU ARE

You’re an organized, approachable and practical leader who can balance people, programs, volunteers, events and deadlines without losing sight of the bigger picture.

You’ll bring:

  • 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in non-profit, community services, program management, volunteer management or a related field
  • You have a strong educational background within a related field.
  • Experience managing and developing staff.
  • Experience overseeing volunteer programs, systems or services.
  • Strong budget management, grant writing and funder reporting skills.
  • Experience planning and delivering programs and/or events.
  • Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
