Manager of Inclusive Programs and Services

Salary: $83,000 to $95,000 annually

This pivotal role helps shape and implement EAFK’s vision and business plans by leading programs, initiatives, and system improvements that advance equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging throughout the organization and the communities we serve.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Inclusive Programs, Services and Quality Assurance, the Manager of Inclusive Programs and Services builds and strengthens initiatives aligned with EAFK’s strategic priorities. This position works collaboratively across departments, leads EDI-focused program staff, and fosters a safe, inclusive, and innovative workplace. Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that foster innovation, equity, diversity, and inclusion across all organizational levels.
  • Support the advancement of EAFK’s strategic priorities and goals.
  • Advance a culture of creativity, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on emerging research and best practices and apply this knowledge to guide programming and policy.

Supervision & Mentorship

  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and support to Extend-A-Family Kingston’s Program team.
  • Promote a positive culture grounded in inclusion, empathy, and accountability.

Program Development

  • Lead the design and implementation of innovative EDI-focused programs to strengthen community engagement and inclusion.

Collaboration & Partnerships

  • Collaborate with internal teams, community partners, and external organizations to share resources and build strong, coordinated supports.

Advocacy & Representation

  • Represent EAFK in public forums, partnerships, and community events to elevate and communicate organizational priorities.
  • Communicate EDI initiatives and progress through public engagement, media opportunities, and community outreach.

Other duties may be assigned to meet the organization's evolving needs.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Disability Studies, Human Services, Community Development, Recreation and Leisure Studies, Nonprofit Management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and extensive experience in program or community leadership. This may include credentials such as a Developmental Services Worker (DSW), Social Service Worker (SSW), or Behavioural Science Technology (BST) Diploma, combined with proven experience managing day, respite, or community programs and leading large, diverse teams.

Conditions of Employment

  • A standard criminal reference check, including a vulnerable sector screening.
  • Proof of all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's Licence with a clear driver's abstract.
