Unpaid Volunteer Position

Love being outdoors, getting your hands a little dirty, and seeing the results of your hard work right away? The Maintenance Volunteer helps keep the BOEC site and trails safe, beautiful, and ready for the community to enjoy. This role is perfect for people who like fresh air, teamwork, and the satisfaction of fixing, building, and improving things that really matter.

What You’ll Be Up To:

Helping open and close Spry Lake Campground (because camps don’t open themselves!)

Clearing and maintaining trails so adventurers can explore safely

Helping with our seasonal garden (We hope you have a green thumb!)

Pitching in on special projects like tree planting, site upgrades, and maple syrup season

Helping put in and take out docks (hello, lake life!)

Keeping safety top of mind at all times

Why You’ll Love It:

Spend time outdoors and make a visible difference

Be part of a hands-on, hardworking, and supportive team

Help protect and enhance a space the community loves

Get fresh air, some exercise, and plenty of feel-good moments

Time Commitment:
We typically will need you from March - November with a minimum commitment of twice per year and to a maximum of twice per week for the interested individual.
