Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive IT Coordinator to join our team and support
the overall IT operations within the organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in
ensuring that the company’s technology infrastructure runs smoothly, providing technical
assistance to staff, performing software and hardware installations, and managing computer
networks, systems and cybersecurity. The IT Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating
all aspects of IT support, from troubleshooting issues to implementing tech solutions that
optimize productivity.
Summary of Duties:
• Provide day to day technical support
• Plans, coordinates and implements security measures to safeguard information in
computer systems
• Network monitoring and troubleshooting
• Manage, maintain and upgrade IT systems and infrastructure
• Create and set up network, e-mail and Electronic Health Record accounts for users
• Ensures functionality and integrity of hardware and software systems
• Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage and retrieval functions
• Travel and work across sites and other partnering agencies is required
• Occasional irregular hours if required
Qualifications/Skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer or technology-related field
• 3+ years of hands-on working experience in hardware, software and networking
• Excellent working knowledge of Windows operating systems, AD, Microsoft 365,
Routers, Switches and Firewalls
• Familiarity with Virtualization Technologies (VMware or Hyper-V)
• Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration
• Experience with VOIP, Avaya and SIP, an asset
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work appropriately and to meet deadlines, work
under pressure; ability to travel, excellent interpersonal skills and attention to details
