Summary
The HR Lead – Learning & Development (L&D) is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing employee learning, leadership development, and organizational training initiatives that support business objectives and workforce growth. This role leads the organization's learning strategy by identifying skill gaps, developing training programs, managing learning technologies, and fostering a culture of continuous learning. The HR Lead partners with leaders across the organization to improve employee performance, engagement, retention, and career development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Learning & Development function within HR.
- Develop the L&D strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify volunteer learning and development needs.
- Design and oversee onboarding programs for new volunteers.
- Create or coordinate the development of training materials and learning resources.
- Plan and facilitate virtual training sessions (approximately 1–2 per month).
- Manage and support L&D volunteers responsible for developing training content.
- Review and provide feedback on learning materials before delivery.
- Maintain learning documentation and knowledge resources.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR leadership to support volunteer development.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development,
Business Administration, Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership or a related field
- Five (5) or more years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Three (3) or more years leading Learning & Development programs
- Experience developing leadership development initiatives
- Experience administering Learning Management Systems
- Experience designing instructor-led and virtual learning programs
- Experience facilitating adult learning sessions
- Professional certifications in SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP a plus
