Grant Writing Team – Responsibilities
The Grant Writing Team is responsible for:
- Researching: Identifying and evaluating potential grants that align with Health Together’s mandate, programs, and research projects.
- Developing: Preparing grant applications, including project proposals, budgets, funding justifications, and responses to application questions.
- Coordinating: Working with Principal Investigators (PIs), project leads, and relevant team members to gather the information and supporting documentation required for applications.
- Proofreading: Reviewing applications for accuracy, clarity, consistency, completeness, and alignment with grant requirements.
- Submitting: Ensuring completed applications and supporting materials are submitted accurately and by the required deadlines.
- Tracking: Monitoring grant opportunities, deadlines, application progress, and submission requirements to support an organized grant-development process.
- Planning: Developing and following structured workplans to organize grant activities, establish priorities, track progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Ideal Candidate
We are seeking individuals who are:
- Education: A master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., public health, health sciences, social sciences, research, business, or a related discipline) is preferred.
- Detail-oriented and precise: Strong attention to accuracy when researching, reviewing, and preparing grant materials.
- Reliable and deadline-focused: Able to manage competing priorities and ensure applications are completed and submitted by required deadlines.
- Organized and structured: Able to develop, follow, and maintain clear workplans throughout the grant-development process.
- Strong communicators: Able to collaborate effectively with PIs, researchers, project leads, and other team members.
- Analytical and research-oriented: Able to assess grant opportunities and identify how they align with Health Together's programs and research priorities.
- Proactive and accountable: Able to work independently while keeping relevant team members informed of progress, challenges, and upcoming deadlines.
