Unpaid Volunteer Position

Health Together (HT) (formerly known as Maternal and Infant Health Canada) is a Vancouver-based global public health organization. We are currently developing a multi-part planetary health video series that utilizes original footage from international projects in Japan and South Africa.

🌏 THE PROJECT

We are seeking a volunteer filmmaker or videographer to help us bring to life a multi-part planetary health video series drawing on footage from two extraordinary international projects:

• An upcoming interview series in Japan, exploring perspectives on planetary health from Japanese researchers, practitioners, and community leaders

• Later in the year, footage from South Africa, centred on the Zulu practice of Family Constellation — a profound and visually rich tradition with deep resonance for collective healing

This is a rare opportunity to work on meaningful, globally-minded content that sits at the intersection of health, culture, and storytelling.

🤝 WHAT WE OFFER

• A collaborative, supportive team — several members can assist with logistics, coordination, and production tasks so you are never working alone

• Flexible, fully remote working arrangements

• A cause worth your portfolio — this work will reach health professionals, researchers, and advocates worldwide

• Genuine appreciation for your time and expertise; we do not take lightly the gift of a skilled professional choosing to work with us

🎥 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience in video editing and/or short-form content production (social media, documentary-style, or similar)

• Comfort working with interview footage and international source material

• A collaborative spirit and curiosity about global health, culture, or social change

• Students, emerging creatives, and experienced professionals are all warmly welcome
