Executive Director
The Gloucester Emergency Food Cupboard (GEFC) is a small, registered charity and Ottawa Food Bank member agency serving Beacon Hill–Cyrville. With support from donors and volunteers, we provide healthy food to residents in our catchment area, typically once per month. In 2024, we served more than 4,100 people—about 12% of the community. We also grow fresh produce through a community garden and volunteer-run farm plot/greenhouse, and we offer programs such as Summerlunch+ in collaboration with partners. Over the next three years, we will be building a new facility that includes a community kitchen.
The GEFC is seeking a community-focused leader to serve as its next Executive Director. We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and addressing the root causes of food insecurity. We aim to create welcoming, supportive spaces where everyone can thrive through good food. If you are passionate about social justice and equity, and you have the strategic and operational expertise to lead a dynamic organization, we encourage you to apply.
