The Alzheimer Society of York Region offers support, education, navigation and DAY programs to people impacted by dementia.
We are seeking a committed and experienced Office Volunteer to join our development team and help us in our fundraising efforts. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to contribute their administrative and office expertise to the fund development and communications team of Alzheimer Society of York Region. Your efforts will help raise awareness of Alzheimer disease and other dementias and help raise funds to support programs that benefit local families who have been impacted by the disease.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support with the entry of donations in the Raiser’s Edge donor database.
- Regularly update obituary information in the donor database.
- Assist with Raiser’s Edge database related tasks.
- Print and send tax receipts, gift acknowledgement letters, and tribute cards to donors in a timely manner.
- Participate in annual campaign related activities like mailing direct mail appeal letters, thank-you cards to donors after a campaign, and welcome cards to new donors.
- Support the research, collection, cleaning, and organization of donor and prospect data.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in an administrative support role.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
- Experience working with a donor database is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Listening, oral, and written).
- Able and willing to easily receive and follow instructions, policies, and procedures.
