
Director, Supported Living Services
The Opportunity Inclusion Langley Society is seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of Director of Supported Living Services and to join our senior leadership team. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in supporting adults and transitioning youth with intellectual disabilities. This position is responsible for coordinating the services to approximately 40 supported individuals in both licensed and non-licensed staffed homes. Prior experience leading a dynamic service and a seasoned staff team is required.

Over the course of the 60+ years since its founding, the organization has grown in response to ever-changing individual wishes and expectations and societal and government policy evolution. About Supported Living Services Staffed Living is one supported living option that Community Living BC (CLBC) funds to help eligible adults live, with support, in the community. In Staffed Living services, people who are eligible for CLBC and approved for this service live in a home that is typically owned or operated by an organization and receive support from staff who work on a schedule. People supported in Staffed Living often require significant support to participate in their community. Each home may support between 1 to 4 people and must adhere to rigorous standards under CARF Accreditation and Licensing (where applicable).
Ideal Candidate The successful applicant will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or equivalent, and at least 5 years’ experience in mid to senior level management role(s). The successful incumbent will work closely with an established senior leadership team to fulfill the mission and vision of the organization, while upholding core values. A proven commitment to the values and philosophy of the Community Living Movement is essential.

• Oversee the provision of 20 unique Supported Living Programs.
• Ensure effective service delivery consistent with policy, legal, contractual,
budgetary and other requirements.
• Engagement with Individuals and Families.
• Supervision and leadership of the staffing team.
• Promotes excellence and innovation in service provision.
• Financial and Contract Management.
• Liaise with funding bodies and collateral partners (i.e. Community Living BC and
Ministry of Child and Family Development, Fraser Health).
• Liaison with allied supports and services (i.e. community inclusion/employment
services, respite, etc.).
• Policy and Practice development.
• Maintaining accreditation and provincial standards to ensure the highest level of
service delivery.
• Collaborative engagement with other members of the Senior Management Team.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Excellence in innovation and service design and delivery.
• Person-Centered approaches that allow for unique solutions.
• Critical thinking and analysis to ensure the integrity of the services.
• Able to work independently and be a self-starter.
• Dynamic leadership skills to oversee an experienced team of Supervisors.
• Fluent in technology applications – Microsoft 365 and experience with
Information Management Systems.
Compensation We are pleased to offer a competitive compensation package, with a base salary ranging from $104,247.00 to $113,977.50. In addition, we offer an extensive benefits plan that includes comprehensive health and dental coverage, a robust pension plan and a flexible work schedule.
