About Us:
Active Leaders of Love (ALL) is an advocacy and community leadership organization dedicated to making Ontario more accessible — to resources, information, and opportunities. We partner with communities to identify priorities, respond to emerging challenges, and drive meaningful, lasting impact. Our work spans broad policy issues and local concerns, including mental health, digital literacy, safety, and accessibility.

The Director, Communications & Public Affairs (Volunteer) leads ALL’s communications, public affairs, and external engagement strategy. You will serve as a senior representative of ALL, building relationships with community members, organizational partners, and public-sector stakeholders. Your work ensures that ALL’s programs, advocacy, and messaging are informed, strategic, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of ALL’s communications, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement strategy.
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with residents, community organizations, partners, and government officials.
Oversee public messaging, announcements, and advocacy communications.
Coordinate stakeholder meetings, outreach campaigns, listening sessions, and engagement initiatives.
Gather and analyze insights from the community and stakeholders to inform programs and advocacy priorities.
Prepare briefings, reports, and recommendations for senior leadership.
Collaborate with the Project Operations Director on program planning, logistics, and events.
Represent ALL at community consultations, sector tables, and public-facing events.
Primarily remote work with occasional in-person engagement.


What You Bring:
Minimum 7 years of experience in communications, public affairs, community engagement, or stakeholder relations.
Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse audiences, including community members, partners, and public-sector teams.
Strategic mindset with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Commitment to equity, accessibility, community empowerment, and inclusive leadership.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, high-impact team.
