About GNBS

The Good Neighbour Builders Society helps citizens turn places where people live into happy communities where they belong.

The Opportunity

Turn approved research and organizational information into clear funding materials, proposals, cases for support and organized development records.

What you will do

  • Review funding guidelines and prepare application checklists.
  • Draft proposals, letters of inquiry and application responses.
  • Develop case-for-support, campaign and impact-page content.
  • Track deadlines, requirements, approvals and submission status.
  • Identify missing information and supporting documents early.
  • Prepare donor acknowledgement or stewardship drafts when assigned.
  • Maintain organized, reusable fundraising materials.

Scope of the role

You will own drafts and application organization. Final submissions, budgets, financial figures, commitments and donation receipts remain with authorized GNBS representatives.

  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to organize detailed requirements and deadlines.
  • Careful use of approved facts and information.
  • Dependability, confidentiality and openness to feedback.

Helpful, but not required: Grant writing, fundraising, proposal or donor-communication experience. Familiarity with nonprofit applications, budgets or development records.

Paid professional experience is not required. Relevant school, volunteer, freelance, community and personal project experience is welcome.

What you will gain

  • Hands-on experience preparing real grant applications and fundraising materials
  • Stronger skills in grant writing, proposal development and persuasive nonprofit writing
