Cat/Kitten Foster Volunteer

As a foster volunteer, you provide a safe temporary home for a cat or kitten while they wait for adoption, recover from medical care, grow big enough for their next steps, or simply get a break from a stressful environment.

The rescue provides the support you need. Veterinary care related to the foster cat is covered, and foster homes are provided with the supplies and products needed whenever possible, including things like food, litter, carriers, medications, and basic care items. You are not expected to take on the full financial cost of caring for a foster animal.

Fostering is also incredibly flexible. Some cats need short-term placement, while others may need a longer stay. You can let us know what type of foster situation works best for your home, schedule, experience, and comfort level.

You do not need to be an animal expert. We are looking for dependable, caring people who can provide a safe indoor environment, basic daily care, updates to the rescue team, and lots of patience while their foster cat gets ready for their next chapter.

There are some pretty great perks too. You get all the fun of having a cat or kitten in your home without the permanent commitment, it is a great way to see whether a cat fits into your household, and you get to directly help free up space so the rescue can say yes to another cat who needs help.

The hardest part is usually giving them back. The best part is knowing that when you do, you have made room to save another one.
