Baby Ghosts Studio Development Fund, est. 2023, is a registered Canadian charity providing cooperative governance education, professional development and open resources for marginalized creators in Canada's games and media arts sector.
Our members elect the board at the annual meeting on October 27, 2026. This is an open call. Everyone who meets the eligibility requirements and applies goes to the members, and nobody is screened or declined.
We are looking for people who can add depth in any of these areas: not-for-profit financial oversight, audit and working with a public accountant, charity compliance, fundraising, grant contracts and funder reporting, board secretary and records, HR and employment, equity and anti-racism work, conflict resolution and complaints, serving as a board chair, and connection to the communities we work with.
You do not need experience in games or the arts.
Volunteer role, remote, open to applicants anywhere in Canada. Four to six board meetings a year plus the annual meeting, about 5 to 10 hours a month. Terms of one, two or three years, assigned at the election.
