The Role: 
The Instructor Therapist, Adult Services is responsible for working directly with adults with ASD and their families 
in the provision of an ABA Day Support program to include but not limited to, conducting assessments, writing, 
implementing, and monitoring behaviour plans, data collection and display, as well as training and supporting 
caregivers. 
 
What your Day Looks Like: 
The Instructor Therapist-Adult Services provides direct service in ABA (under the supervision of an RBA Ont.) in a 
one-on-one and/or in a group setting to include but not limited to the following: 
 • Implementing programs according to the treatment plan 
 • Carry a caseload of clients 
 • Assist in the development and provide input into each client’s curriculum 
 • Address personal care requirements of the client during each session 
 • Monitor and track behavioural data/follow behavioural protocols 
 • Prepare teaching materials 
 • Record and graphs data, write reports and progress notes and flags exceptional circumstances as well as the 

need for changes to the program plan 
 • Participate in the treatment planning process with caregivers and relevant others 
 • Ensures ongoing communication with Senior Therapist 
 • Liaise daily with caregivers about the progress of the session 
 • Liaise with external stakeholders 
 • Lead crisis management techniques where necessary using Crisis Prevention and Intervention 
 • Organize weekly schedule for clients 
 • Demonstrates and explains effective strategies; models, supports, mentors and guides the Junior Adult 

Instructor Therapists 
 
What you Bring to the Role: 
 • University degree or College diploma in behavioural sciences, social services, psychology or early childhood 

education 
 • Minimum of 1 year work experience required (2 years work experience preferred) 
 • Previous experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and/or Autism 


 
 
 • Equivalent education and experience may be considered 
 • Team lead/mentor experience an asset 
 • Have a good understanding of Developmental Services Ontario (DSO), autism and applied behaviour analysis 
 • Available to work evenings, weekend, in home and centre based 
 • An interest in professional development and further developing clinical skills 
 • Strong interpersonal and time-management skills 
 • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and accept feedback and direction

The Role: 
The Coordinator, Group Services provides operational and administrative support to the respite and camp 
departments. 
 
What your Day Looks Like: 
 • Conducts ongoing client and family intake meetings, screenings, and assessments to determine program fit 

and eligibility. Collaborate with Supervisor to develop cohesive group pairings (staff/client). 
 • Manages program registration to include: creating programs on Amilia, registering clients, managing client 

waitlists, making registration adjustments, updating Salesforce etc. 
 • Manages program registrations finances to include; processing refunds, liaising with accounting, creating 

and implementing payment plans, creating custom invoices, adjusting payments based on program grants 
and subsidies, etc. Conducting orientations, collecting client documents, liaising with families to develop 
ISP’s, and collecting caregiver data. 

 • Program development and quality assurance oversight to include: pre/post data collection, develop and 
administer parent training materials, monitoring current program offerings in the sector. 

 • Assists Supervisor with hiring and onboarding staff to include: pre-screening interviews, training staff (e.g. 
CPI, policies and procedures, etc.), attending job fairs for recruitment. 

 • Assists Supervisor with developing and planning marketing material to include: social media posts, 
community outreach, updating website, newsletter content, attending program fairs. 

 • Manages client related documentation to include: collecting, reviewing and organizing all client 
documentation, ensuring documentation is up to date, sharing relevant updates with team members, 
creating ISP in partnership with caregivers, etc. 

 • Meets regularly with Program Coordinator and Intake team. 
 • Assist with ensuring programs areas and clients understand and follow all GCA polices and procedures to 

include Health and Safety responsibilities. 
 • Participates in team and staff meetings regularly and to contribute to program development initiatives 

within the team and across the GCA. 
 • Other administrative and program duties as assigned. 
 
What you Bring to the Role: 
 • University degree in relevant field. 


 
 
 • At least 4 years’ experience working in a related discipline including providing support to families with ASD.

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

The Role: 
GCA is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist who will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team 
supporting children and youth with and an Autism diagnosis and their families. The SLP will support families by 
conducting assessments, create individualized plans that address need, and provide consultation to the 
child/youth and family on how to implement strategies as suggested in the plan. 

What your Day Looks Like: 
 • Conduct assessment and collaborate with families to develop a comprehensive plan that addresses the 

needs of the child/youth as it relates to the realm of speech and language including evaluations, 
assessments, and individualized intervention reports.

 • Provide educational services to staff and agencies/stakeholders to support individuals with autism.
 • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team (RBAs, OT, 

Instructor Therapists).
 • Program and service development and evaluation for SLP services.
 • Attends, contributes, advocates and informs at Core meetings, and others as appropriate.
 • Provide any related resources to clients as appropriate.
 • Other duties as assigned.

What you Bring to the Role: 
 • Graduate degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
 • Registered with the College of Speech Pathologists of Ontario.
 • 1 year work experience in a similar role.
 • Previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities and/or Autism an asset.
 • Demonstrated understanding of early childhood education, autism and applied behaviour analysis.
 • Knowledge and application of the SLP framework, philosophy and theory, administration and 

interpretation of standardized and non-standardized assessments, knowledge of development (typical/
