This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase net revenue and for managing a national team to execute these strategies effectively.Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Fund Development, the Executive Director (ED) also supports DC’s overall revenue growth by providing strategic expertise to the SVP, other fundraising program leaders (Corporate Partnerships, Direct Response Marketing, Community Fundraising and Events, Stewardship and Donor Operations) and the nationwide Fund Development team.Location:&nbsp;Our national office is located at 1000–170 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario. We offer a flexible work arrangement, allowing employees to work remotely while occasionally coming into the office as required by their manager or the organization. This role will involve travel for donor meetings and professional events.Compensation:&nbsp;The hiring salary range is $140,000 to $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Diabetes Canada offers a comprehensive benefits package.What You’ll DoRevenue Growth<ul><li>Drive net revenue growth in DC’s Planned Giving and Major Gifts portfolios.&nbsp;</li><li>Cultivate, solicit, and steward planned and major gifts, building strong relationships with prospects and donors.</li><li>Actively engage in the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of planned and major gifts. Build and maintain a strong relationship with identified prospects and donors, while better leveraging DC’s donor database to identify potential prospects for team members.</li><li>Drive the identification of potential planned giving prospects and expectancies</li><li>Broaden the range of planned giving instruments that DC offers to prospects and donors to maximize their planned gifts.</li><li>Work with the Corporate Partnerships, Community Fundraising &amp; Events, Stewardship &amp; Donor Operations and Donor Response Marketing teams to develop DC’s emerging prospect pipeline, cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation practices toward building larger prospect portfolios and increasing solicitation activity.</li><li>Support staff, volunteers and leaders across DC in the identification and development of mini-campaigns designed to generate major gifts for specific projects and programs.</li></ul>Business Management<ul><li>Implement best practices for KPIs in&nbsp; Planned Giving and Major Gift.</li><li>Ensure accurate tracking of activities, pipelines, and donor agreements in the donor database.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop annual business plans and budgets; provide timely revenue forecasts and risk assessments.</li><li>Maintain deep knowledge of DC’s mission programs to engage donors effectively.</li><li>Actively participate in the Fund Development Leadership Team and collaborate with Mission, Marketing &amp; Communications and other teams, to drive forward projects and programs.</li></ul>Team Leadership<ul><li>Lead a team of major gift and planned giving professionals across Canada.</li><li>Manage hiring, onboarding, performance, coaching, and employee relations.</li></ul>Note: This role is not limited to the responsibilities listed above and may include other duties as required.What You Bring<ul><li>10+ years of fundraising experience with a strong focus on Major and Planned Giving with a proven track record of revenue growth.</li><li>Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of people management experience.</li><li>Strong technical understanding of the Canadian Planned Gift environment.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint), and experience with financial systems; CRM knowledge is an asset</li><li>Results-driven, self-starter with strong leadership skills.</li><li>Skilled relationship manager with high confidentiality standards.</li><li>Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative style that builds constructive, productive relationships across diverse groups and audiences.</li><li>Experienced leader who inspires teams and supports colleagues across the organization to achieve results.</li><li>Change management champion who thrives in a dynamic environments.</li><li>Exceptional communicator with the ability to synthesize complex information into compelling material.</li><li>Understands and demonstrates a commitment to Diabetes Canada’s Mission, Vision and Core Values.</li></ul>Why Join Us?At Diabetes Canada, you’ll play a meaningful role in making a difference every day for people living with or at risk of diabetes. Diabetes Canada’s aspiration is to improve the quality of life for people diagnosed with diabetes. This role measures progress toward that goal across all Mission areas, including Research &amp; Science, Diabetes Knowledge &amp; Connection, Healthcare Provider Education &amp; Engagement, Government Affairs Advocacy &amp; Policy, Inclusion Diversity Equity &amp; Accessibility, and Change the Conversation.&nbsp;Reporting to the Executive Director, Research and Science, the Manager, MIE will work cross-functionally to design, implement, and communicate evaluation strategies that demonstrate the impact of Mission activities. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, analytical thinking, and expertise in both quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods. The ideal candidate is innovative, data-driven, and skilled at translating insights into actionable outcomes.&nbsp;Location: Diabetes Canada’s national office is located at 1000–170 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.
