It also fundamentally realizes that ‘business as usual’ is no longer good enough: this Plan challenges us to reimagine how we achieve our mission, inspire Canadian investment in that mission, and transform our organization to be future-ready. &nbsp;&nbsp;A member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director, Corporate Finance plays a strategic and operational leading role in the organization, as they are responsible for the sound financial management of the organization and for the delivery of efficient, value-added, cost-effective services.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Director will be a vital partner with the CFO and the Senior Leadership team in strategic decision-making, long-term organizational planning and operations as CARE Canada continues to enhance its capacity and continuously strive for best in-class practices.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;WHAT YOU BRING&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation (CA, CGA, or CMA) is required. &nbsp;&nbsp; </li><li>5 years of experience in a finance or accounting supervisory role including responsibility for the full accounting cycle within an organization or business unit.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting supervisory role, demonstrating leadership and effective team management.&nbsp; </li><li>Proficiency in overseeing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and treasury management.&nbsp; </li><li>Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance with regulatory/statutory requirements, particularly in the non-profit or charity sector.&nbsp; </li><li>Experience in budget development, forecasting, and resource allocation aligned with strategic priorities. &nbsp;</li><li>Experience in managing the year-end audit process, coordinating with external auditors, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.&nbsp; </li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage a team, provide guidance, mentorship, and create a culture of continuous improvement and empowerment. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to think strategically, innovate, and provide strategic advice on resource allocation, risks, and opportunities to the CFO.&nbsp; </li><li>Experience in developing, reviewing, implementing, and monitoring financial policies, procedures, and practices to improve efficiency and compliance.&nbsp; </li><li>Fluency in English is required.
