Key Responsibilities<ul>	<li>Transporting clients safely to designated locations.</li>	<li>Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations and organizational guidelines.</li>	<li>Maintaining accurate records of mileage and trips.</li>	<li>Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle.</li>	<li>Communicate promptly with the Drive Coordinator regarding schedule changes, delays, or issues.</li>	<li>Represent the organization professionally at all times.</li></ul>Qualifications and Experience<ul>	<li>Broad Record Check or previous background check. The North American Native Plant Society (NANPS) is looking for new Board Members to join our vibrant, volunteer-led team.&nbsp; As a volunteer-run organization, NANPS depends on the commitment of its board members to help shape our direction and manage key areas of our work. These include operations, organizing plant sales, running events, overseeing communications, landing stewardship, restoration projects, and more. Prior Board and/or non-profit experience, as well as experience in the environmental sector are considered to be assets, but are not essential. The Board meets nine times per year on a weekday evening, and board members are also expected to actively participate in committee work.  POSITION SUMMARY: 

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Accountant is responsible for implementing and administering all 
financial matters pertaining to the Health Unit in a way that is consistent with the mission, vision, values, 
strategic priorities, policies and standards of the Board of Health. This includes but is not limited to grant 
reporting, forecasting, preparing financial statements, accounts receivable, capital assets, statutory 
remittances, account reconciliations, and the annual audit preparation. The incumbent will assist the 
Manager, Finance with budget matters, setting up new government requirements and information 
technology issues related to Finance. 

 QUALIFICATIONS: 
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities: 

 • Three-year diploma/degree in accounting 
 • Designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in Ontario 
 • Consideration will also be provided to applicants who have passed the Common Final Examination (CFE) and 

who require practical experience 
 • Minimum of five years accounting experience in a public sector setting 
 • Knowledge of accounting concepts and principles acquired through formal accounting training 
 • Knowledge of Ministry requirements and financial policies 
 • Knowledge of applicable privacy practices and laws 
 • Demonstrated skills and knowledge to operate a PC and work efficiently and effectively with various 

software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office 365 programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), SharePoint, 
Adobe Acrobat, and accounting packages such as Microsoft Dynamics 365). Please Note: Formal proficiency 
test will be done to evaluate proficiency level in Microsoft Excel
