Volunteers are needed in a variety of roles to help ensure a smooth event and provide an exceptional experience for cyclists as they ride to raise funds to support those affected by MS:The Site Coordinator works directly with the local Bike Coordinator and other members of the committee to help create an exciting, safe and accessible race day venue for participants. &nbsp;Responsibilities &nbsp;- Review site set-up map from previous years and ensure site meets current requirements &nbsp;- Confirm signage and equipment requirements with other committee members &nbsp;- Direct loading of event equipment and that the committee has all necessary supplies &nbsp;- Direct and support day of event volunteers in the set-up and tear down of site tents, tables, chairs, finish line, PA system, music, etc. &nbsp;- Coordinate the start/finish line &nbsp;- Greet and direct event partners on site &nbsp;- Champion the Bike in your community by promoting the event and recruiting participants and day-of-event volunteers &nbsp;- Attend Bike event&nbsp;Interested? Volunteers are needed in a variety of roles to help ensure a smooth event and provide an exceptional experience for cyclists as they ride to raise funds to support those affected by MS:The Rest Stop Coordinator will work closely with the team at MS Canada to establish a safe ride for participants by ensuring access to well-equipped rest stops. &nbsp;Responsibilities : &nbsp;- Work with the staff lead and Route Coordinator to determine rest stop locations &nbsp;- Approach rest stops with request, and ensure agreement is signed and followed through &nbsp;- Assist with packaging rest stop supply boxes &nbsp;- Make sure rest stops are set up with the necessities &nbsp;- Plan, acquire, and confirm rest stop set up supplies &nbsp;- Ensure volunteers are cheerleading for cyclists as they come through and relaying any relevant information &nbsp;- Confirm volunteers are cleaning and packing up when finished &nbsp;- Make sure recovery zones are set up with the necessities, route maps, basic first aid kit &nbsp;&nbsp;Interested? Camp Goodtimes provides children and youth affected by cancer and their families with an unforgettable summer camp experience in a medically supervised, safe, and supportive environment.&nbsp;We’ve&nbsp;been friendship-building and memory-making in British Columbia since 1985,&nbsp;and work with&nbsp;nearly 500&nbsp;participants&nbsp;each summer through our kids, family, and youth camps.&nbsp;&nbsp;Our programs&nbsp;offer a variety of volunteer opportunities including Arts and Crafts, Dining Hall, Host and Skip&nbsp;(Camp Counsellor) roles!&nbsp;If&nbsp;you’re&nbsp;passionate about supporting vulnerable communities,&nbsp;comfortable&nbsp;working with&nbsp;kids,&nbsp;and&nbsp;enjoy&nbsp;the outdoors,&nbsp;we’d&nbsp;love to hear from you!&nbsp; &nbsp;We believe that time spent at camp allows kids to just be kids, away from their diagnosis. During&nbsp;training&nbsp;weekend, members of our staff&nbsp;and&nbsp;leadership team&nbsp;go through our camp schedules and&nbsp;provide you with all the tools necessary to set you up for success!&nbsp;Your Commitment&nbsp;&nbsp;Volunteers are expected&nbsp;to act with integrity,&nbsp;professionalism,&nbsp;and&nbsp;kindness&nbsp;during the duration of&nbsp;their&nbsp;session.&nbsp;They are&nbsp;expected to&nbsp;remain&nbsp;on-site during the&nbsp;entirety&nbsp;of&nbsp;their&nbsp;selected session(s).&nbsp;Volunteers may attend multiple&nbsp;sessions,&nbsp;but it&nbsp;is&nbsp;recommended&nbsp;to&nbsp;start with one if&nbsp;it’s&nbsp;your first time volunteering with us!
