The Human Resource team is responsible for the organization, performance, and the culture of our internship program. They also create strategies to recruit and retain a skilled and diverse group of interns and help current interns develop their professional skills. HR will communicate with applicants throughout the application, interview, and onboarding process. BabyGoRound's program benefits low income families by providing access to essential baby gear and clothing, free of charge. We receive donations of second-hand clothing and baby gear from the public, which is processed and prepared by our volunteers. Our clothing sorting volunteers play a key role in ensuring that our inventory of baby clothing is organized, well stocked, and meets our quality standards.
Impact of this role:
Last year, BabyGoRound's program supported 1761 families with access to essential baby gear and clothing, positively impacting 5,750+ family members.

Approximately 95% of baby gear that BabyGoRound distributes annually is gently used. Last year, 66,800 lbs of pre-loved baby gear was diverted from the landfill, thanks to our community of donors and volunteers. Our gear processing and clothing sorting volunteers keep this circular system going round - checking, cleaning, and preparing critical baby gear to be passed on to the families who need it most. This circular approach of collecting and connecting pre-loved baby essentials is more than an exchange; it’s a cycle of care that benefits our planet and people.

Commitment and Availability:&nbsp;Our volunteer opportunities offer a lot of flexibility, allowing you to adjust your schedule week to week. We are looking for reliable volunteers who can commit to a minimum of 2, 2.25 hr shifts/month for 1 year. Volunteers should also have availability during our operating hours: Monday-Thursday between 9:45am-2:30pm. Additional Requirements: All onsite volunteers are required to complete a Criminal Record Check (CRC) for work with children and vulnerable adults. The Director manages the agency Senior Leadership Team (SLT), CEO, and Board to develop and oversee financial strategies, systems, and performance, while ensuring compliance with all applicable legislative requirements and funder agreements. Additionally, the Director oversees the facilities operations of CMHA SCB, ensuring effective management of property and facility resources.What You'll Do:Organizational<ul><li>Provide strategic financial oversight for programs within approved budgets.]</li><li>Ensure compliance with agency standards and guidelines.</li><li>Collaborate with SLT and Management Team to achieve organizational goals.</li></ul>Financial Leadership<ul><li>Direct daily financial operations: payroll, rent supplements, AP/AR, forecasting, variance analysis.</li><li>Maintain systems compliant with ASNPO, regulations, internal controls, and funder agreements.</li><li>Oversee insurance coverage and risk management.</li><li>Lead annual and monthly budgeting, train managers in financial planning.</li><li>Prepare and distribute financial reports to CEO, SLT, and Board committees.</li><li>Manage audits, implement recommendations, and complete year-end processes.</li><li>Ensure accurate funder reporting and compliance for grants, RFPs, and procurement.</li><li>Develop and maintain financial policies aligned with legislation and standards.</li><li>Optimize accounting systems for efficiency and compliance.</li><li>Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, and reconciliations.</li><li>Conduct internal audits for accuracy and efficiency.</li><li>Maintain inventory of capital assets and manage lifecycle processes.</li></ul>Facilities and Property Leadership<ul><li>Provide leadership and guidance to the Manager of Facilities, Safety, and Security, as needed.</li><li>Ensure effective facilities management by maintaining safety, functionality, budgeting, and compliance with health and safety regulations.</li><li>Collaborates with cross-functional teams as needed to implement sustainable, cost-effective facilities management practices, optimizing space and resources.</li><li>Ensures the property management plan is aligned with the agency's strategic goals and compliant with legislation and advises on property acquisition and sale decisions as necessary.</li><li>Oversee the purchasing, inventory management, and disposal of agency assets and supplies (excluding IT related equipment).</li><li>Oversee contracts, mortgage renewals, capital assets, and lease agreements, leasehold improvements, purchases, general maintenance and security systems.</li><li>Ensures good working relationships with external stakeholders including landlord relationships and lease agreements.</li><li>Support the Manager of Safety, Security, and Facilities, and the Human Resources Manager in ensuring compliance with legislative requirements such as the Occupational Health &amp; Safety Act and Employment Standards Act, 2000.</li><li>Advise on property acquisition and sale decisions when necessary.</li><li>Ensure property tax rebates are processed in a timely manner for all property taxes for owned and leased locations.</li><li>Identify and oversee capital and facilities grant and funding opportunities to maintain and improve CMHA SCB facilities.</li></ul>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>CPA designation and relevant degree; Master's preferred</li><li>8+ years in financial leadership, ideally in health care or non-profit.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in financial systems and MS Office.</li><li>Knowledge of employment and tax legislation.</li><li>Must have a reliable source of transportation.</li><li>Fluency in French or another second language would be an asset.</li><li>Legally entitled to work in Canada.</li></ul>SALARY SCALE:Executive Level 1: $123,469 - $130,894*per annum*pro-rated based on hours workedHOURS OF WORK:<ul><li>Thirty-five (35) hours per week, Monday to Friday.</li><li>Attendance at special events required from time-to-time.</li><li>Able to work within a flexible framework to respond to program needs.</li></ul>We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.Recruitment Reason: Current VacancyCMHA Simcoe County Branch is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment.
