About the Event

GLAM AS YOU ARE™ is a design-forward, community-rooted cocktail fundraiser supporting the Daisy Baby Foundation’s fertility grant for LGBTQIA+ families-in-waiting. In partnership with Grand River Pride, the event celebrates queer joy, care, and community impact.

Once the music winds down and the sparkle settles, we close the night the same way we opened it: with intention. The Teardown Crew helps ensure the space is left with gratitude, care, and community spirit.

Volunteer Role Available

✨ Teardown Crew (6–8 people)

The Role
Every sparkling party deserves a graceful landing. As part of the Teardown Crew, you’ll help us dismantle, sort, pack, and reset the space with care. From gently wrapping décor to assisting with vendor load-outs, you’ll play an essential role in ending the night smoothly and respectfully.

This role is ideal for volunteers who enjoy structure, teamwork, and hands-on tasks — especially once the lights come up.

What You’ll Do

Safely dismantle and pack signage, décor, equipment, and activation materials

Support rental returns, vendor load-outs, and item checklists

Clear event zones of trash, signage, and remaining materials

Sort, label, and organize items for storage, reuse, or donation

Bring steady, supportive energy to a team that has been working all day

You’re Perfect If
You’re the kind of person who jumps in when the party ends and the work continues. You’re efficient, dependable, and able to keep morale up even when everyone is tired. If you like bringing things full circle — this role fits you well.

Bonus Points For

Experience with event breakdown, stage striking, or teardown

Ability to lift 20+ lbs or assist teammates with heavier items

A care-focused mindset about spaces, belongings, and people
