About the Event

GLAM AS YOU ARE™ is a design-forward, immersive cocktail fundraiser supporting the Daisy Baby Foundation’s fertility grant for LGBTQIA+ families-in-waiting. In partnership with Grand River Pride, the event blends community, creativity, and purpose — creating a space where every guest should feel welcomed, celebrated, and included.

Floor Hosts are the heartbeat of the guest experience. You help people feel oriented, supported, and comfortable as they move through the spaces, installations, and activations that make GLAM AS YOU ARE™ so special.

Volunteer Role Available

✨ Floor Host / Ambassador (4–6 people)

The Role
You’re our vibe stewards. As a Floor Host, you help guests feel welcome, informed, and guided throughout the event. You’ll know the layout, schedule, sensory spaces, and key activations so you can answer questions, support wayfinding, and bring warm energy everywhere you go. Think: a friendly concierge meets a party ambassador.

What You’ll Do

Greet guests and help them orient themselves in the space

Provide wayfinding support and ensure accessibility throughout the venue

Monitor high-traffic zones and help maintain comfort, flow, and safety

Offer support to other teams as needed (check-in, stage, activations, sensory lounge)

Keep an eye out for guest needs, confusion, or challenges — and respond gently

You’re Perfect If
You’re warm, approachable, and proactive without hovering. You enjoy welcoming people into community spaces — especially those who might feel shy, uncertain, or new to queer and inclusive events. You don’t wait to be asked for help; you anticipate what someone might need.

Bonus Points For

Experience in hospitality, community events, or crowd navigation

Comfort speaking with guests from all backgrounds

Understanding of inclusive, nonjudgmental guest support
