Finance Committee Member Volunteer

We are seeking passionate and skilled individuals to join our Finance Committee and help guide the financial health and sustainability of our organization.

Role Overview
As a member of the Finance Committee, you will play a key role in overseeing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and risk management. Your expertise will help ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review and recommend the annual budget for Board approval
• Monitor financial performance and alignment with strategic objectives
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Review audited financial statements and liaise with external auditors
• Assess financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Support fundraising and revenue generation initiatives

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with experience in:

• Finance, accounting, investment, or related fields
• Governance and risk management
• Nonprofit financial oversight (an asset)
  
  

Commitment:

3-year term, renewable once
Minimum 4 meeting per year
