Mission
The Toronto Feral Cat
Project serves the general public and feline colony caretakers, through
educational training and practical assistance in Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), in
order to address feral cat overpopulation in Toronto and area.
Trapping Volunteers
Needed
We are seeking volunteers
to provide trapping advice and assistance to feral colony caretakers. The focus of this work will be the support of
colony managers who are bringing their colonies to the Toronto Animal Services
spay/neuter clinic for feral cats.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the
TNR solution in Toronto
by implementing the “targeted TNR” approach to feline overpopulation. “Targeted TNR is a precisely organized trapping plan
carried out in specific locations …. Targeted TNR begins with the thorough and
complete TNR of one colony and then moves out to surrounding colonies,
effectively shutting down the possibility of breeding in a given area.” http://www.alleycat.org/NetCommunity/admin/Document.Doc?id=152
