Effect of tsunami giving on other fundraising initiatives
As a volunteer fundraiser for a national health organization, I
am finding a huge drop in donations this month [February 2005]. Everyone contacted
so far claims that their earlier donation to tsunami relief drained available
monies, leaving them with nothing for other Canadian charities. Where I usually
receive 30-40 donations, so far there have been two. I have about 15 houses
to go, so here's hoping!
