How many fundraising walks or runs do you participate in annually?

I used to do one to two walks or bikes per year. Now since I've become a runner, I try to do as many as my schedule allows. It's nice to have a new course all set out for you and to benefit the community at the same time.

However, I do find I have exhausted my friends and family members with my repetitive asks for sponsorship, so I usually pick two major events and do my best for pledges. For others, I just send in my own cheque as my pledge. Here's a thought: unless you are going to print my participant number on the shirt, I probably don't need one. Perhaps we could offer the sponsors aÊpremiumÊinstead. Since many of us hit up our coworkers - maybe funky pens for a $10 pledge. Not sure if this would work, but you could still keep the t-shirts for those who turn in plenty of pledge dollars.
