Many also provide training, development and other services to nonprofit organizations, as well as specialized publications for the voluntary sector.

  Volunteer Grandparents endeavours to support and encourage multigenerational relationships and the concept of the extended family. Our mission is to "bridge and enrich the generations" by fostering intergenerational understanding, communication and cooperation between the generations. • 211 Community Information and Volunteer Centre (CIVC) (Regional: York Region, ON)

  A not-for-profit organization whose goal is to strengthen region-wide information & referral and volunteer development services.

• Helpmate Community Information and Volunteer Bureau

  A local, nonprofit organization that links or connects people with the services they require. Our volunteer Bureau works with over 100 not-for-profit agencies in York Region to help you find the volunteer opportunity that meets your needs. Time, location and interests are all taken into consideration.

• Newmarket Connections Community Information & Volunteer Centre (Local: Newmarket, ON)

  Part of the Newmarket Public Library, this volunteer centre offers one-stop access to community information, including information on local social service agencies and a collection of volunteer resources for nonprofit organizations. Appointments can be made with a volunteer services coordinator to discuss volunteer opportunities in the area.
