How do I suspend a listing before the deadline? (Printer friendly version - PDF)

There are times when you may want to suspend a listing you have posted on CharityVillage.com -- you might use this feature if you have received numerous responses before the deadline and want to review them before accepting any new ones. You may suspend and re-activate your listing as many times as you like within the allotted timeframe (60 days from posting for Job Listings and 90 days from posting for Volunteer and Event Listings). Here's how:

  1. Go to the Advertiser Log-in page

  2. Enter your username and password as noted in the confirmation e-mail you received when you registered. Click the "Log-in" button.

    If you have forgotten your log-in information, enter your e-mail address in the "Forgot Your Password" section below the log-in area and we will e-mail the information to you.

  3. When you are logged in to the "My Desk" screen, click the "Manage My Listings" link.

  4. On the "My Listings" page, you will see all the listings you have posted on our site. Beside the listing you want to suspend, click the red "Suspend" icon ().

  5. The listing will move to the "Suspended Listings" section and the red "Suspend" icon will be replaced by a green "Reactivate" icon. This listing is no longer visible on the site.

    To reactivate a listing, just click the green "Reactivate" icon. The listing will move back to the "Active Listings" section and be immediately visible to the public again .
