From the Editor's Desk

This week in Village Vibes we focus on philanthropy - most notably the new and growing trend toward mobile giving and how this helped raise money for the people of Haiti. This week's issue also focuses on volunteerism, including a collection of stories written by volunteers from around the world and a website where volunteer managers can share information and resources. In our research section, you'll find articles on working with youth volunteers as well as key questions for stronger communication. Finally, Tim Rutledge writes about employee engagement in Human Resources Q&A.
