Site enhancements coming this spring
We're working on some exciting changes to CharityVillage.com that we plan to launch this spring.
In the coming months, we'll be re-designing several sections of the site, including our job, volunteer and event listings. We're making enhancements to the infrastructure of the site, as well as to the public side to help make it easier to use and a better fit for your needs.
New features for Advertisers posting job, volunteer and event listings:
- On the posting forms there will be a text editor so you can add your own formatting options such as bold, italics, bullets, etc.
- The job posting form will no longer be divided into separate text boxes, instead there will be just one text box for the entire job description
- We’ve set up reminders to let you know when your volunteer listing is about to expire
- There will be a news feature to help you keep up to date on what’s happening at CharityVillage.com
- New featured advertiser options to highlight your organization
- Two new sections for event listings: one dedicated to Fundraising and Community Events and another just for Professional Development events
New features for searching for listings:
- There will be more searching options to help refine your searches, such as: years of experience, salary range, 40 hr highschool volunteer program and wheelchair accessibility.
- Keyword searches will be more reliable
- There will be better formatting for the “Print this Listing” feature
- Improved navigation links on the search results pages
- The ability to view a listing then easily return to the search results page
- Better functionality for emailing listings to a friend
