For almost 10 years, Mylo has been teaching computer courses, writing technical documentation and customizing software applications. Her specialty is in database design and development and she has extensive experience developing database solutions for a variety of clients, including: housing; health education; employee assistance program; and First Nations organizations.
Mylo has a strong draw to the non profit world and has experience both as volunteer and as staff. Her first volunteer position was as an ambulance attendant for the B.C. Provincial Ambulance Service. Later involvement shifted to the health education sector first with the Victoria Women’s Sexual Assault Centre and then as a founding member of two health related organizations for women; the Vancouver Positive Women’s Network and the Vancouver Women and AIDS Project - now Women’s Programs, AIDS Vancouver. Mylo served as Chair of the PWN and coordinator of the Project for many years.
When Mylo is not attached to her computer she can most likely be found in the kitchen cooking for – and with – friends and family. She is also known to spend many hours walking with Nic, studying at SFU, hanging out in the Nicola Valley, and planning for her next trip.
