Meet Caroline Yan Lau
Since 1990, Caroline has been happily involved with the Canadian nonprofit sector. Within this sector, she has worked as an executive director, board member, office manager, programs manager, event planner, fundraiser, trainer, television producer, and webmaster. Organizations that she has most actively been involved with include Volunteer Richmond Information Services, Administrators of Volunteer Resources BC, Generation Leadership, the Richmond Christmas Fund, BC Alliance of Information and Referral Services, Science World, the Rotaract Club of Richmond, and Rogers Community 4.
As a mother of two very active young boys (Aidan and Connal), Caroline now focuses her volunteer efforts on managing some of their sports teams, coaching basketball, and coordinating the Lend A Hand Club at the nearby elementary school.
Born and bred in beautiful British Columbia, Caroline is working hard to enjoy the activity and beauty that surrounds her. Along with her husband, Terrence, and two kids, she enjoys bike trails, Whistler weekend getaways, family movie nights, tennis, board games, good food, and precious time spent with friends and family.
